Scientific Publications is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct throughout the scholarly publishing process. Authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher are expected to follow responsible research and publication practices.
1. Authors’ Responsibilities
Authors should:
- Submit original work that has not been published elsewhere.
- Avoid simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals.
- Ensure that all listed authors have made a meaningful contribution to the work.
- Obtain approval from all authors before submission.
- Accurately report research findings and avoid fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data.
- Properly acknowledge sources and avoid plagiarism.
- Disclose relevant conflicts of interest and funding sources.
- Obtain appropriate ethical approval and informed consent where required.
- Correct any significant errors identified after publication.
2. Editors’ Responsibilities
Editors are expected to:
- Evaluate manuscripts fairly and objectively.
- Make editorial decisions based on scholarly merit, relevance, originality, and quality.
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
- Handle potential conflicts of interest appropriately.
- Ensure that editorial decisions are independent of authors’ nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or other irrelevant characteristics.
- Maintain the integrity of the peer-review and publication process.
3. Reviewers’ Responsibilities
Reviewers should:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding manuscripts under review.
- Identify relevant published work that may not have been cited.
- Report potential plagiarism, ethical concerns, or conflicts of interest to the editor.
- Decline a review assignment if they have a conflict of interest or insufficient expertise.
4. Plagiarism and Research Misconduct
Scientific Publications does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, or other forms of research and publication misconduct.
Where concerns regarding research or publication misconduct arise, the relevant journal may investigate the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with its policies and applicable ethical standards.
5. Corrections and Retractions
Published articles may be corrected, retracted, or otherwise updated when significant errors, research misconduct, ethical concerns, or other circumstances affecting the integrity of the scholarly record are identified.
Corrections and retractions will be handled transparently, with appropriate notices associated with the affected publication.
6. Conflicts of Interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers should disclose any financial, personal, professional, or other relationships that could potentially influence their judgment or the publication process.
7. Human and Animal Research
Research involving human participants or animals should comply with applicable ethical requirements and institutional or regulatory standards. Where applicable, authors must provide information regarding ethical approval and informed consent.
8. Editorial Independence
Editorial and peer-review decisions are independent of Article Processing Charges or other publication-related payments. Payment of an APC does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
9. Journal-Specific Policies
Individual journals published by Scientific Publications may maintain additional or more detailed publication ethics policies according to their subject area and publishing requirements. Authors, editors, and reviewers should consult the relevant journal’s website for specific requirements.
